MOTORBIKE ACCIDENTS AND CLAIMS

GETTING YOU THE COMPENSATION, YOU DESERVE

MOTORBIKE ACCIDENTS AND CLAIMS

Although motorbikes are great fun to ride, they are also vulnerable to accidents that are not your fault. Unfortunately, due to their structure, when an accident does happen, the outcome and injuries are normally far worse than a normal car RTA (Road Traffic accident).
Motorbike helmets and leathers are often the only protection a motorbike rider has, and these do in no way overcome a car bonnet or bumper when collisions at speed occur - The result of these collisions is often a severely injured motorcyclist left broken bones, nerve damage and  head injuries.  Due to the injuries being of this nature, compensation involved in motorbike claims is often far greater than that with normal RTAs.  Examples of cases where the victim has been paid in excess of £250,000 are not uncommon.
Therefore, it us important than if you are seeking to make a claim, you use a trusted experienced personal injury claim solicitor as anything less can result in you not receiving the full amount you are entitled. A skilled senior partner will always handle these cases at C&G solicitors

HOW C&G SOLICITORS CAN HELP

At C&G Solicitors we have years of experience with motorbike accident claims and have a whole department dedicated to accidents and personal injury.   We operate on a strict No Win No fee basis, ensuring there is no risk to the claimant.
We understand that in the most severe of cases, a motor bike accident can alter the course of your life with lengthy recovery and rehabilitation.  In some cases, the injuries are so horrific, care may be required for the duration of the victims life.  If this is the case our team, take all of this into account when it comes to building your case.
We look at everything from, the cost of your motorbike repair and storage (if required) to physiotherapy costs, loss of earnings for the immediate time, mental anguish for your loved ones, legal costs should there be a dispute, future loss of earnings (if applicable), transport costs to and from the hospital and future ongoing care costs.
We are aware that it is not just high speed collisions that result in motorbike accident claims, even the collisions that have occurred at low speed can often have life changing results, so it is imperative that you use a team of legal experts who know what to look out for and what you can claim for.  If you have been involved in a motorbike accident that was not your fault, get a legal team on your side that knows what they are doing.

COMMON QUESTIONS

a person hit me in a car and then drove off.  I was injured, can i still claim?
There are occasions when you might not know the details of the other drivers involved in the accident, maybe you were knocked unconscious, it was a ‘hit and run’, or the driver gave you false details.  If you let us know the details that you can remember/did obtain, and our team of legal experts who will investigate and try and identify the third party.  If they are unable to trace them,  you can still claim under the Motor Insurers’ Bureau scheme (MIB).
do i need a solicitor to make a claim?
You do not need a solicitor to make a claim on your behalf, but due to the often-complex nature of the negotiations it is recommended that you do.  At C&G we are used to dealing with insurers who also have full legal knowledge and will be fighting against paying out compensation, even if it is at the cost of the injured party.   Our legal team will aim to get you a claim that is fair, not just what the insurers want to pay.
I had a motorbike crash due to a poorly maintained road, what can i do?
Even if there was no other motorist involved, if you have had a crash as a result of a poorly maintained road such as a pothole, then you may be entitled to claim as it was the result of someone else's negligence.  In this instance it would be the local council, as they have a duty of care to ensure that no one is at risk when using their roads and highways.  We have dealt and won cases of this nature in the past, so please get in touch if this has happened to you.
my husband died in a motorbike crash, can i make a claim?
Losing a loved one is never easy.  The torment and pain this can cause the family members who are left behind can never be compensated with money.  But, when it comes to families, the loss of a loved one can mean additional hardship for those remaining. The loss of an income should not be the fault of those who have lost a partner or parent.  If you inform our team, we will work with you to recover these losses, although they will not make up for the loss of a loved one, they may help ease the burden.
CAN YOU ARRANGE A HOSPITAL VISIT TO DISCUSS MY CASE?
Yes.  Our team are more than prepared to visit you in hospital.  We understand that in a lot of motorbike accidents the injured party is not able to get home or to our office, so we will come to you.   A face to face meeting is often advised as we can explain everything about your case in more detail.
